We are FundCount, a growing international fintech company with a 20-year history and a global office and staff footprint. We provide a unified software solution for investment, general, and partnership accounting and analysis. Our product delivers operational efficiency and insight to investment management professionals — family offices, fund administrators, and alternative fund managers. 

We are seeking an experienced DevOps Team Leader to lead our team of engineers, take ownership of our hybrid infrastructure, and help us elevate our CI/CD and automation processes to the next level.

Your Key Responsibilities 

Team Leadership & Management: 

  • Team Leadership: Manage a team of DevOps engineers (assigning tasks, tracking execution, conducting reviews). 
  • Mentorship: Develop the technical and soft skills of your team members, conduct 1-on-1s, and create development plans. 
  • Processes:
    Optimize and build efficient workflows within the team (Agile, Kanban/Scrum). 
  • On-Call Management: Organize and maintain the on-call support schedule (24/7), ensuring a fair and balanced rotation among all team members (including yourself). 
  • Strategy: Develop and implement the DevOps strategy and infrastructure roadmap. 
  • Collaboration:
    Maintain close communication with Development, QA, PMs, and other stakeholders. 

Technical & Architectural: 

  • Hybrid Infrastructure: Design, implement, and support highly available and scalable solutions that combine AWS and on-premise (VMware, bare-metal) environments. 
  • CI/CD: Develop and maintain pipelines for building, testing, and deploying applications (preferably GitLab CI / Jenkins). 
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Manage infrastructure and configurations using Terraform and Ansible. 
  • Containerization: Administer and advance Kubernetes clusters (AWS EKS and/or on-premise K8s). 
  • Monitoring & Logging: Build and maintain a comprehensive monitoring, alerting, and logging system (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK, AWS CloudWatch). 
  • SRE/DevSecOps: Ensure the reliability (SLA/SLO), fault tolerance, and security of the infrastructure. 

What We Expect From You (Must-Haves):

  • Leadership Experience: 2+ years as a Team Lead, Tech Lead, or Senior DevOps (with mentoring responsibilities) leading a team of 3+ engineers.
    With a total of 7+ years of experience in DevOps. 
  • Deep AWS Expertise: Excellent knowledge of key services: 
  • Compute & Network: EC2, VPC, Route 53, ELB/ALB. 
  • Containers: EKS, ECS, ECR. 
  • Storage & DB: S3, RDS (PostgreSQL/MySQL), DynamoDB. 
  • Management & Security: IAM, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, Systems Manager. 

Strong On-Premise Experience: 

  • Hands-on experience with VMware vSphere / KVM or other virtualization platforms. 
  • Understanding of physical networking principles (routing, VLANs, VPNs). 
  • Experience working with bare-metal servers. 
  • CI/CD: Proven experience building and supporting complex pipelines (GitLab CI, Jenkins, ArgoCD). 
  • IaC: Excellent command of Terraform. Experience with Ansible/Puppet/Chef. 
  • Containers: Deep knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes (architecture, deployment, administration). 
  • Monitoring: Experience with the Prometheus, Grafana, and Loki/ELK stack. 
  • System Skills: Excellent Linux and Windows knowledge, proficient in scripting (Bash, PowerShell, Python). 
  • Soft Skills:
    Strong communication, systems thinking, and a proactive attitude. 

Availability & Location: 

  • Located in a time zone between UTC+1 and UTC+4 for effective team synchronization. 
  • Willingness and ability to participate in a scheduled on-call rotation as part of the team's shared responsibility. 

What Will Be a Big Plus (Nice-to-Haves) 

  • AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional). 
  • Experience implementing DevSecOps practices. 
  • Experience with hybrid-cloud Kubernetes installations. 
  • Experience with other cloud providers (Azure, GCP).
