Position: 3D Artist

Game Project: Join our talented team to work on a cutting-edge 3D simulation mobile game!

Report to: 3D Lead

Hiring Level: intermediate

Start Date: ASAP
Location: 8th floor - 988 West Broadway, Vancouver (fully on-site)


Employment Terms:

  • Less than 1 year of relevant experience: Initial 3-month contract
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience: Initial 1-year contract
  • More than 3 years of relevant experience: Permanent position

Job Responsibilities:

  •  Able to create low & high-quality models (character and hard surface) with limited polygons in short time period base on the pre-existing art designs;
  • Need to be proficient in the application of hand-painted PBR, understand the logic of card rendering, and have a good sense of color compositions and overall aesthetics.
  • Communicate with other art-related subdivisions, improving the overall character quality.
  • Able to iterate on sketches (eg. adding more detail)
  • Able to multitask many related elements
  • Work exp. with AI tools is a plus.
  • Exp. with Unity is a big plus.



Requirements:

  • Fluent in Zbrush, Maya or Max, Substance Painter, and Photoshop.
  • Portfolio displaying a variety of professional and personal pieces in different art styles (realistic style is a must).
  • Versatile, flexible, and willing to do what's needed in a fast-moving environment.
  • Can work well both independently and closely with other artists.
  • Able to adopt fast-past work environment
  • Good verbal communication and teamwork skills.
  • Legally eligible to work in Canada - we are unable to sponsor work permits for candidates applying for this position.
  • Previous experience with the development and shipment of AAA titles is a bonus.
  • Experience working and placing assets into a game engine (Unreal, Unity) is a plus.
