Job Summary: 

This at-will position is being hired to support a specific client project. While this role is a full-time position with Falcon's Creative Group, employment will not extend beyond the duration of the project. The assignment will conclude once the project is completed, at which time employment with Falcon's Creative Group will end. The expected project timeline is to be determined. For avoidance of doubt, employment with Falcon’s would be at-will at all times, meaning that the employee or Falcon’s may terminate the employment at any time (including prior to the conclusion of the project).

As a concept artist, you will correctly interpret and ultimately realize the design team’s creative vision through your artwork. The concept artist supports the creation of every detail that goes into designing an award-winning entertainment experience. You will generate visual concepts within given guidelines and occasionally tight deadlines.  

This position involves working on multiple assignments simultaneously. Revisions to artwork are common during the creative process and should be addressed in a timely and professional manner. 

The concept artist must operate effectively with minimal oversight and be a team player. You must be emotionally secure and respect differing perspectives while embracing passionate discussions about their artwork. Strong communication skills are a must, with a big emphasis on articulating creative ideas and expressing your opinions clearly and in a straight-forward manner. 

Essential Functions:

  • Participate in brainstorming sessions and project charrettes.
  • Create custom illustrations as required.
  • Create plans, elevations, and schematic diagrams as required.
  • Execute the production of drawings and presentation packages.
  • Maintain and organize digital assets.
  • Remain cognizant of schedule criteria.

Job Qualifications and Requirements:

  • A skillset that includes strong drawing abilities and a significant understanding of composition, design, and color.
  • Must have a fine arts degree, related field or equivalent visual design degree, or comparable experience.
  • Two years of experience working as a concept artist or storyboard artist.
  • Experience with Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Blender, Sketchup.
  • Knowledge of interior design, architectural master planning, entertainment design, and theme parks is an advantage.
  • Storyboarding ability or ability to translate ideas to designers and develop innovative design solutions.
  • Knowledge of experience design, brand development, and themed entertainment is a plus.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with internal team, partners, vendors, consultants, and other external sources. 
  • Use sound reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
  • Use Microsoft Office programs efficiently.
  • Must be able to handle adjustments to priorities throughout the day/week. 
  • Develop specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish the work.
  • Comfortable and confident working in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines.
